I am a big fan of the Wii Fit. In fact I would buy a Wii just for the fitness “games”. I bought the Wii when it first came out for my son and the only thing we have ever played was the Wii Sports and especially the tennis. I play tennis and it might be just me but I felt like I was getting if not better a really good workout playing tennis on the Wii while having fun with my son who cannot play tennis. So game wise, that is all we ever played really. I did buy him a few games but he never got into them.
When the Wii Fit fit came out, I just had to have it and I absolutely loved it. Of course it is not for everybody and there will be many arguments about it and wether you do or do not get a good workout with it.
Personally I am a big fan of home fitness training. I joined the gym a few times but never got motivated enough to go back after a very short while. So I preferred investing in a treadmill and fitness dvds. I have a huge collection of fitness dvds because I like variety, I get bored if I do the same routine over and over again.
The Wii Fit makes it a bit more interesting by making exercising more interactive. Also the fact that it keeps track of what you are doing and the scores (and your weight too) are enough to keep me motivated. It also depends on how much you put into it too and that does not stop you from exercising in the great outdoors. I still go out for my daily walk… and still want a new treadmill!
Except once you have unlocked everything it get a bit boring… Since Project Natal will not be out for a while, and now that I have time to settle again for a fitness routine – way overdue I should add- it is time to seek out something else, something new…
I have been on the lookout for EA Sports Active but because of my constant traveling lately, never got to buy it. Until JAG the other day showed me a link to Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 – only because he thinks she is hot! lol
I am not a fan of the big loser but I have watched her trained those people and thought she was great, besides yes having a great body, and yes JAG is right, she is hot.
We went out shopping last night and was going to buy one or the other but could not decide so decided to go home and have a look at the reviews.
Basically there is no good reviews for Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009. 2 stars on Amazon from 364 people rating the game when EA Sports Active scores 4 stars from 399 people… and looking a bit further there is another one My Fitness Coach that has 4.5 stars from 405 people rating it.
So I guess I will pass on Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 and go with EA Sports Active and might indulge myself with My Fitness Coach so that I don’t get bored until the new Wii Fit Plus comes out… or unless the presence of Jillian can get JAG to move his butt, I might reconsider… lol
