Deus Ex Human Revolution Trailer Deus Ex Human Revolution is the third game in the Dues Ex series. The first game was a huge success, and it quickly swept up a huge fan base. Fans waited eagerly like hungry dogs for a sequel that would be as good as the first, but unfortunately the sequel did not satisfy the hungry fans. It was a let down, and it has become a dark stain on the Deus Ex franchise. Deus Ex Human Revolution has huge shoes to fill. Will it be as great as Deus Ex, or will it tank like Deus Ex Invisible War. Luckily for everyone it has been almost eight years since Deus Ex Invisible War, and a lot of things have changed. There is some good news for everyone. It looks like the Deus Ex Human Revolution gameplay is shaping up to be a lot like the very first game in the series. So far it has the same feel as Deus Ex, but with some great new things thrown into the mix. Deus Ex Human Revolution takes us back in time. You could even say it is a prequel because it is happening 25 years before all of the events in Deus Ex. Body modifications are not the norm, and there are a lot of folks who think that people should be people, and not part machine. The whole setting has a very futuristic punk style that is a welcome change from other games.
On 11-11-11 gamers will get to travel to the land known as Skyrim. This is the setting for the fifth game in The Elder Scrolls series and fans are going to love what Bethesda Game Studios has in store. The last offering was a little game called Oblivion. Gamers spent countless hours on hundreds of role playing quests that spanned an area of 16 square miles. It was a huge open world where players could do just about anything that they wanted, and go anywhere that they wanted, at anytime. Elder Scrolls V Skyrim promises to be no different in that respect, but technology has grown significantly since Oblivion, so you can expect huge improvements on every aspect of the game. Elder Scrolls V Skyrim is a role playing game at its core. You can play from a first person perspective or you can play from a third person perspective. You can switch the point of view at anytime during gameplay. You can level up your character by completing quests. You can use weapons, your fists and magic to complete your goals and you can do it anytime you want. The free roam aspect of these games makes them so unique and it ensures a different scenario every time you play. There is one thing that is different in the Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, one big, scale covered, difference. There are dragons in the Elder Scrolls V Skyrim and they play a huge role in the story. They will swoop in from above and attack you at any given moment. You can choose to stay and fight or run! If you run, the dragon will follow you. No place is safe. It will be a battle just trying to get away from the winged beasts. If you chose to stay and battle the dragon, you will have a fight on your hands unlike anything seen in a video game. When you defeat the dragon, your character absorbs the soul of the dragon. The dragon’s soul will give you powers and a new gameplay mechanic called, “shouts.” These shouts are the language of the dragons and each shout consists of three different words that when used by the player have a very powerful affect. Some can be used as weapons or a means of defeating enemies.
Duke Nukem Forever has been in development for over ten years. It has been laughed at and called vaporware by many people in the video game industry, but get ready people because Duke is back and he is ready to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and he is all out of bubble gum! Duke Nukem 3D was a huge hit in the PC gaming world. It had many things that other PC games did not. It had a good story that was full of comedy, it had great 3d visuals, a wise cracking hero that you controlled, interactive environments, big weapons, big monsters and it had strippers, lots of strippers. This combination of new found fun catapulted Duke Nukem 3D to the best selling list. There have been a handful of games that poked fun or tried to copy many of these great gameplay elements. The Serious Sam series of video games comes to mind. Duke Nukem Forever gameplay promises more of the same only on a much larger level. Planet Earth is under attack again. More aliens have flown in to try and take over, but this time they are taking the women first. Duke Nukem, being the ladies man that he is will not take this sitting down. He must save the world one girl at a time and you get to control him. Duke Nukem Forever is a first person shooter, kicker and puncher. When you are not using one of the many big guns you can punch or kick your way right through the legions of nasty aliens. It is not all run and gun, there are some puzzles that will give your noodle a good test, and this game has vehicles that are drivable. It is always fun to get behind the wheel and run over some Alien scum. If you are looking for a Duke Nukem Forever demo download, then you are in luck. If you pre-ordered the game or purchased Borderlands Game of the Year Edition, you can register at the Duke Nukem Forever website with a special code that came with these two games. This will give you early access to the game demo. Duke Nukem Forever is not for kids. It is the only game I have ever seen rated M for the following reasons: Blood and gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Mature humor, Nudity, Strong sexual content, and use of drugs and alcohol. This game is not for the faint of heart. Duke Nukem Forever release date: June 14, 2011 It has been a long time since Duke was a best seller. A lot has changed in the video game world and Duke has some stiff competition, but the king is up to the challenge. Ask him yourself and I am sure his response would be, “Come get some!” Shop for Duke Nukem Forever Duke Nukem Forever, Hail To The King Baby!

Rage is coming this September and it will be a feast for the eyes. It has been a very long time since we have seen a game from software giant ID. Their last game on the Xbox 360 was Doom 3 and it was something to be afraid of. It’s dark hallways full of monsters and hellish creatures from another world, were enough to make even the toughest gamer drop the controller. Things are much different now. The Xbox 360 has been on the market for quite some time and the developers have learned how to squeeze as much power out of it as possible. The same goes for the PS3. Rage gameplay features graphics and textures unlike any other game to date. Founder of ID software, John Carmack has said some interesting things about his latest game, and when he speaks just about everyone listens. He says that Rage is the best looking console game ever created and he contributes this to the new engine called Tech 5, which powers the games visuals. Everything you see in Rage is hand painted or created by an artist. Most games use low resolution textures that are often tiled or repeated through out the entire game. That is not the case with Rage, and the end result is a beautiful environment unlike anything you have ever seen in a video game world. Rage also features some other things that ID’s other games have lacked. There is a substantial story to Rage, and it will allow you to drive and pilot vehicles through a huge post apocalyptic world that is filled with lots of colorful characters and enemies. It is a first person shooter at its core and it will run at a smooth 60 FPS. Rage Co-op does offer up some interesting game play mechanics. You will not be able to drop into your friends world anytime that you want. There are specific co-op missions that are being called “Legends of the Wasteland.” They will require teamwork by both players in order to make it through some of the puzzles and environments. Rage multi-player is trying something different. There is death match and team games, but from what I have seen it is all based on vehicle combat and it sounds like a lot of fun. The objective is to reach certain rally points that exist throughout the really unique landscape, and of course you are equipped with weapons that allow you to take out whoever is in the lead. If you destroy the leader, then you get bonus points and now you are on everyone’s hit list. It currently will feature six players at a time. This could change by the time the game ships. Rage release date is September 13 2011. I have seen Rage in action and it looks very pretty, but beautiful visuals are not enough to make a good looking game play great. ID has a great history of making some of the best games ever...

ID has a great history of making some of the best games ever created, but can they compete with blockbuster games like Call Of Duty, Halo and Uncharted?

Okay – nothing like velociraptors, but I digress.

Let me be honest, here – movies and games set in a post-apocalyptic major city like New York always make my socks roll up and down. I don’t know what it is, but I freaking LOVE them (except 2012, which sucks dirty socks). One minor feature that I’d like to see, but haven’t really got a good handle on yet from the leaks and peeks is the ability to FURTHER destroy the city on your own. Does the ongoing battle with the alien scourge continue to create wreckage as you play? Can you shoot out or punch through walls? Shatter windows? I may be a vandal at heart, but these features would add some fun and realism from my point of view, and I hope the game designers have thought of it.

Finally, it seems that these days, no game is complete without multi-player functionality. Crysis 2, its makers claim, has smooth, flawless multiplayer action as good as or better than any on the market. Whether it’s gonna be lag-heavy and difficult may depend as much on your connection and platform as anything else, but as I get older and drift away from friends, multi-player games are an excuse to spend “quality time,” to I really hope multiplayer Crysis 2 pans out.

You may have heard of a little game called Call of Duty Black Ops coming out this November. Yeah, it’s kind of a big deal. Even though this one isn’t developed by the same masterminds behind the Modern Warfare series, Call Of Duty Black Ops is looking to earn a name for itself with a set of innovative customizations and mulitplayer additions. One of the most interesting additions to a game in the post online area is Call of Duty Black Ops’ offline combat training bot mode. Though, I’ve always felt the need for some sort of bot mode to return in today’s first person shooters, and this offline mode promises to help shake off the cobwebs before hopping online. Combat Training can be tackled either solo or with friends, making for an interesting offline experience. Furthermore, Call of Duty Black Ops introduces customizable weapons into the fray. Players can now adorn their weapons of war with custom made emblems and images, as well as make custom targeting reticules like smiley faces that add personality to your weapon. Images can be edited, rotated, and scaled to fit onto weapons. The Call of Duty series is well known for Modern Warfare’s introduction of kill streaks (rewarding weapons/perks for killing a certain number of people in a row). Call of Duty Black Ops is no different, offering several new kill streaks such as: Death Machine (a chain gun), Grim Reaper (a missile launcher), napalm strike, RC-XD (a remote controller car loaded with death), gunship, mortars, and a SAM turret for taking down pesky gunships. Another Call of Duty Black Ops exclusive is the new wager mode. Wager mode is a mode with several game types that allow players to gamble their CP (Call of Duty Points). One in the Chamber is among these game types in wager mode. In this mode you start off packing a pistol with one bullet, your handy combat knife, and three lives. The premise is simple – kill and earn a bullet, miss and lose a bullet. The next game type is Sticks and Stones. This starts players off with a crossbow, ballistic knife, and a tomahawk (yes, tomahawk). Killing a player with the tomahawk actually causes them to lose all of their money. In Gun Game, all players spawn starting with a pistol. For every kill they rack up, a better weapon is awarded. The first player to cycle through all of the weapons wins the game, while a knife kill sets you back one level. Sharp Shooter starts the players with all of the same weapons selected at random. Throughout the match the weapons continue to randomly cycle, but everyone has the same type of weapon at all times. With these new mulitplayer modes, Call of Duty Black Ops is looking to improve on an already great system. How well these new modes, kill streaks, and game types are received will be revealed on November 9th! Pre-order Call of Duty Black Ops here.

I tend not to excite myself over the non-Modern Warfare series of Call of Duty games, seeing them as more of a half way point until Infinity Ward’s next try. However, Call Of Duty Black Ops is looking more and more like a “Modern Warfare” in its own right. Has Treyarch hit their stride with this one? The multiplayer aspect of Call of Duty is the meat of the series. This is where gamers’ satisfaction is met for weeks, months, even years after launch, and Call Of Duty Black Ops aims for the head in this area. Not to mention it is armed to the teeth in new modes, challenges and game types. Similar to Halo Reach, Call Of Duty Black Ops integrates a new credit system with good ol’ fashioned leveling up in order to purchase new weapons and customize player looks. Also, taking another cue from Halo, Call Of Duty Black Ops pulls the curtain back on a long sought after theater mode. Now you can immortalize your epic kill streaks in your own John Woo inspired recordings of previous matches. Furthermore, just like Halo’s daily challenges, Call Of Duty Black Ops provides “contracts” for you to buy and attempt. Completing contracts such as “three SMG kills without dying in less than 40 minutes of game time” will yield a bountiful reward of COD points. Similar to the classic GoldenEye’s “License to Kill” mode on the N64 is the Black Ops take “One in the Chamber”. This mode, just as the name suggests, offers one bullet per person – all it takes to kill the next player. Succeed and you are awarded another round, but miss and you are penalized by becoming weapon-less and forced to rely on melee attacks! With these new additions, Treyarch is seeking to add more depth to what is already one of the most addictive franchises on the market. We can only imagine how many hours of our lives will be lost to these promising new features in Call Of Duty Black Ops Call Of Duty Black Ops will be released on November 9, 2010 for xbox 360, PS3, PC, Ninteno DS.

Experience the true thrill of skateboarding as never before through the revolutionary new skateboard controller in Tony Hawk: Ride. Bundled with the Ride game, the unique motion-sensitive board controller redefines the action-sports genre by translating your body motions into the game. No buttons, no thumbs, no analog sticksjust you on the board. For the first time in video game history, anyone can jump on a skateboard and feel the freedom, creativity, and accomplishment of skateboarding. Fans of board sports will love the authentic experience of the board controller, while the intuitive nature of the board and multiple difficulty settings make it a fun and exciting experience for people of all ages and skill levels. The ease with which anyone can pick up and play this game and each player’s unique playing style make this a fun social game for friends and family to play together. So, are you ready to Ride? All About the Board Using full motion sensing technology, the intuitive skateboard controller allows players to physically control the action by performing various movements and gestures on the board that directly translate into amazing tricks seen in the game. Closely resembling a “deck”–a board without wheels or trucks, which allow actual skateboards to maneuver their boards–the Ride controller is built around a combination of flat and rounded surfaces. Along the majority of the boards upper surface, as well as the middle center portion of its bottom, players will find flat, level surfaces that provide for players’ balance.

All About the Board
Using full motion sensing technology, the intuitive skateboard controller allows players to physically control the action by performing various movements and gestures on the board that directly translate into amazing tricks seen in the game. This is countered by the rounded edges along the top at either ends, as well as the bottom outer edges. These allow for true to life trick performance mechanics which allows gamers can experience a full range of movement as they rotate, tilt and lift the board in a variety of ways to discover every trick in the game.

In addition, the Ride board comes with features designed to maximize ease and continuity of play. These include an upper surface texture similar to the grip tape used on real boards to help maintain player contact with and control of the board, and a full set of traditional navigational buttons that allow the player to interact with the game between levels and online when it is more convenient to do so.

Anyone Can Ride

//

Tony Hawk: Ride is designed to be fully accessible to everyone from hardcore fans to players with no prior skateboarding experience. Moving away from the open-world game environment that recent releases in the franchise have embraced, Ride is instead built around a wide range of mini-challenges and events more concerned with riding than exploration. These cover every genre in modern skateboarding and aim to focus the player’s attention on developing their skills with the board. And this is easy to do with addictive and engrossing gameplay without complex button combinations or analog sticks that allow gamers to literally step on the board and play.

Exciting, Immersive and Social Game Play
Tony Hawk: Ride features a diverse set of trick, vert, and speed challenges that allow players at all levels to take on their friends and family as they compete with each other via “Hot Seat” game play. In addition, with robust multiplayer, online and create-a-skater modes, players can jump into a personalized and extremely social gaming experience.
