After We Rule’s success in the App Store, it only made sense for NewToy and Ngmoco to make a sequel this time in the form of We Farm. We Farm is similar to We Rule with a greater focus on farming as the name implies.
In We Farm, you grow crops, raise animals, and add farm related businesses while connecting with friends. Rather than having a kingdom theme for everything there is a farming theme. We Rule is similar to Farmville, but We Farm is a direct head to head competitor, and fires a shot across the bow.

Rather than porting a computer game, We Farm has been designed exclusively for the iPhone and iPad. If you’ve played We Rule then you’re prepared to play We Farm and experience the nuances. We Farm is now available worldwide as a free download in the app store.

We Farm Hands On Little Preview

As soon as you start the We Farm game you’re introduced to the tutorial which will get you up to level six by the time you complete it which takes only about five minutes. Then your free to farm however you like earning xp and gold as you grow crops and raise animals. As you level up you unlock new buildings like coops, pastures, pens, dairies, fruit stands, silos, tractors, and more.

There are tons of decorative items and trees to place on your farm as you continually level up to expand your farm. We Farm is geared around social connectivity with the same friend set up as We Rule, and the same type of business transactions. You get to accept orders and place orders at your friend’s shops with the only real difference the type of businesses to place orders at.

The biggest addition is the raising of animals which act as businesses for others, but act similarly to crops for yourself. The animals mature in a certain period of time, and then they can be sent to fair to earn different colored ribbons. There are all types of animals all earning different amounts of gold and xp, and requiring different times to mature.

Now you can concentrate on crops and animals with the push notification system same as We Rule. The game is free, but there is a consumable in-app purchase again this time called ‘gro’ rather than mojo. The increments and prices of ‘gro’ are very similar to those of mojo in We Rule.

Watch out for our We Farm Tips… Work in progress…

We Farm plays very similarly to We Rule which is a good thing because that’s a quality game. It’s also a bad thing with no innovation giving you practically the same game engine with a different theme. Will you be downloading We Farm from the App Store today?

Introduction for We Rule V1.1

Firstly determine the time/effort you are willing to put in, if you are a casual We Rule player, then this guide is not for you. This We Rule guide is for the power hungry, resource grabbing players whom started off late, but didn’t want to be the lowest level newbie among his/her circle of friends whom started months ago. What i will be attempting here would be how to get your coins, your mojo, your time and all of other people’s time/asset (yes, we are going to make use of others) to work for you. If the idea suits you, then this We Rule guide is for you.

Understanding the We Rule basics

We Rule revolves around farming (crops) and business (shops), which nets you both experience (exp) and gold (coins). With exp, you get access to higher tier stuff which are usually of a lower quality which you have to use coins to buy. Yes lower quality. This is because The game promotes itself by hooking you to the game, thus the best crops/shops are low level ones (usually). When you find yourself spending too much time with the game and want to get ahead, you would start to buy mojo. Stop reading if you are these type of people, this guide is for poorer and more patient folks, it would be meaningless to you.

Virtually everything can be bought using in-game currency (coins) and not using real currency (mojo), using Euro, USD, SGD or whatever kind of currency your country trades in. The best things in life are free quite applies to this game. Secondly, with time, eventually you will reach the ceiling of the game, which stands at level 30 right now, which is fairly easy to reach in 3-4 months, depending on your late-game playing style. Thus one of the fundamental outcomes of this guide is, you would have over 240~ mojo at level 30, simply because the ones you gained from leveling up are not used mindlessly.

Understanding the We Rule numbers (exp/gold)

1st source of income, Crops :
Go through the tutorial, once you understand the We Rule basics, you would have noticed one half of the We Rule game evolves around farming and harvesting. I forgot what the tutorial does so i explain everything that could happen with crops. Crops cost an initial start up cost to plant, then a period of time to get ripe for harvest. Planting a crop is an action initiated by you, by physically tapping an empty plot of land/farm shown by the hoe logo, then selecting the type of plant you would like. Always notice the time to harvest (TTH) period, which is the time required in REAL TIME for the crop to grow. while waiting you could watch how clouds formulates as time goes by or using mojo to speed up the process. Once TTH is reached, you would physically need to harvest the plant, which failure to will cause the crop to rot, resulting in 0 exp and negative income (factoring the cost to sow the crop initially). All crops gives gold which will be of a higher value than the initial cost (so can end up with more coins), so remembering to harvest is the only real way to gain coins steadily. The time it takes for your crop to rot is estimated to be the same time it takes for it to grow.

Example : a crop of onions would take 1 hour to ripe, after which it would take another hour for it to rot.

Another concept to be introduced here would be Ratio-of-return (ratio). That is how much gold/exp each crop will give given the TTH, it does not scale with every crop. An example would be Crop A giving 10exp every 15 unit of time. Crop B takes 60 units of time but usually does not give 4*10 = 40exp since 60 is 4 times 15 units of time. It usually gives a lower amount that one would normally get for the shorter TTH crop. This is a very important concept to understand.

2nd source of income, Shops :
A second source of income which is partially controlled by you. We Rule Shops takes gold/mojo to build, some exceptions exists, which cost ONLY mojo to build. Shops give gold and experience as per crops does but its a bit more complex.

From your We Rule shop point of view :
Once you selected a shop and build it, it would take time to be constructed, not immediate like crops do. While it is being constructed, it is not producing anything for you, again it can be speed up by spending mojo. Higher level shops take longer to build. Once it has been build, it will be operational/open for business to both you and your friends (stage 1). Each shop takes different amount of time to process an order. If no one places an order with your shop, after TTH, you can tap the shop for exp/gold (stage 2). You will know your shop has finish processing because there is a coin icon on top of the shop. This source of income does not “rot” like crops, however, without harvesting your goods, your shop will stop producing orders. After you choose to process your goods, you and only you get exp/gold and the shop goes back to stage 1. Between
stage 1 and 2, if anyone clicks your shop and places an order, you would notice your shop would show the avatar of the order-placer. Time stops there and then for that shop. By tapping your shop, you can choose to accept or reject the order, by accepting it goes into stage 1a. Stage 1a+TTH would bring you to stage 1b, which is delivery. By tapping your shop again, BOTH you and the placer gains exp/gold, with you gaining 100% of the income whereas the placer gets slightly less, say 80% of your income. After which the shop goes back to where it stopped to process the order and proceed to reach Stage 2.

Example 1.

Stage 1 —————–> Stage 2
Time 0 ->>>>>>>>>>>> 60,Gives 10 gold/10 exp.

——————————————————————————

Example 2.

Stage 1 ————————> Stage 1a —–> Stage 1b ————–>Resume———> Stage 2
Time 0 ->order placed at 15th unit>> 0 ->>>>>> 60, Gives 10g/10exp 16th ->>>>>>>>> 60,Gives 10g/10exp.

—————————————————————————–

Stage 1a->1b can happen infinitely, and it is recommended so, as both you and the placer gets income. Stage 1a->1b is UNINTERRUPTABLE, thus only by using mojo can you hasten the process, otherwise you couldn’t change your mind once you accepted an order, which counts towards your order quota (OQ)

From your friend’s shop point of view :
Initially you would not have enough resources to build many or any We Rule shops. But you can still place orders with others free of charge. By tapping into kingdoms with an “open” logo you can zoom into their kingdoms and place an order with the same concept as above, however it is slightly different. You can choose any of the We Rule shops with an open sign and place the order. However each We Rule shop have a different TTH and it is NOT shown when you are shopping around, thus choose only a shop with a TTH that suits your lifestyle.

Example 1.
Stage 1a—> Stage 1b ———> Time wasted —> Stage 1a (order placed)
Time 0 ->>>> 60 Gives 8/8exp ->>>> X ->>>>>>>>> 0

——————————————————————————-

Example 2.

Stage 1a——> Logged in to check —–> Logged in to check——>Stage 1b ———–>Stage 1a (order placed at another shop)
|
Time 0 ->>>>>>>>>>> 15 ->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 30 ->>>>>>> 60, Gives 8g/8exp->>> 75

————————————————————————————–

Using the examples above, you can see in example 1, if you decide to go fishing on a Saturday morning, comes back on a Saturday night and slept till Sunday noon, X would be very big, thus not efficient.

In example 2, by logging in every 15 units of time to check, X in this case only is 15, from 60-75. This is provided in both cases your friend DELIVERS the order at the 60th unit of time, without fail. The shop uses the farm concept, thus if the order is processed and is NOT delivered by your friend (with you not able to do anything about it), it will result in a failure to deliver message to pop up, you gain 0 gold and 0 exp and -1 friend. You do not actually lose the friend but you should be wary about placing an order with this particular person again as the wasted order counts towards your OQ.

We Rule Order Quota.
There is a cap of 35 OQ in the game. Thus you can only place 30 orders max at other kingdoms OR receive 35 orders placed at yours, or any combination as long as both figures added up do not exceed 35. This is a very important concept to understand in order to get ahead of the game. Imagine 30 orders placed with 35 VERY casual players whom log in once a week to visit his rotting farms, you would have wasted 35 chances
to gain gold/exp. A player whom cannot find 35 good players to place orders with can accept orders (provided he is disciplined enough to process orders and login faithfully), he will definitely be ahead exponentially compared to a player whom place 35 orders with casual players, wasting his OQ and getting 0 for everything.

We Rule 3rd source of income, Rent :
Okay its not rent exactly but its from buildings/crops that operates differently. These are self sufficient objects that you would place on your kingdom, automatically produces exp/coin after TTH, and once harvested, goes back towards producing them. They are not interact-able or changeable (your friends cant do anything towards these objects, nor can you change what these objects produce nor change their TTH period).
There are only 3 such objects, cottages, orange groves and ruby groves.

We Rule Strategy towards level 30.

This portion states how to reach level 30 in the shortest and most PRACTICAL time possible, do alter it to suit your lifestyle if you have more/less time to attend to the game or if your girlfriend is about to breakup with you due to you being MIA or “inattentive” to her existence. No mojos are harmed in the process.

We Rule Early game
Plant often and harvest often. Start off with corn to earn some gold. Once you are tired, depending on which level you are, go for higher level crops. Wheat and rice are good crops to plan considering their TTH is more practical and ratio is excellent. With every level up remember to check if you can build additional farms, the key engine of your growth in this stage. In the meantime, start visiting game forums or local forums (forums that are hosted and visited by members of your country) for people to add. Preference should be given to local forums players than
international ones. These players once added allows you to place shop orders with their already build infrastructure immediately. Secondly they play and sleep about the time you do, so there is less chances of time being wasted for them to deliver an order while you are sleeping.

After you have added a few We Rule buddies, your crop would have reached TTH, harvest and repeat, until you have around 40 of them. Adding 1000 people doesn’t help as your OQ limits you to transact with 35 most active players in your kingdom, having an active player on the 109th page of your kingdom is not very accessible. Things to look out for especially are kingdoms smaller than 20 in level, having rotting crops or farms with no crop being planted. These We Rule players are inactive, or too casual, delete them (don’t feel bad). Not all small kingdoms are bad, some are just the same as you, just starting out and very hungry, give these players a chance and they might be your permanent trading partner in time to come.

Place 35 orders from the SAME type of shops from the 35 different kingdoms. That is because the TTH for these orders will be the same, placing 35 orders with different types of shops will result in hay wired timings and delivery which equates to time wasted. Ideally the 35 shops would have 35 active We Rule players whom process your order at the same time and deliver them, so every say, 60 units of time passed, you would login to gain 35 orders of gold/exp and repeat the cycle.

At this stage, place your We Rule orders with lower tier shops with shorter TTH, such as scout towers. Orders place at tailor shops would most likely be rejected by higher level players, as it eats into their OQ, thus wasting your time. Why not place with dragon lairs? It takes 2 full days to process, you need gold/exp now, not 2 days later, no matter how big the amount. What you want are fast TTH crops and shop orders to reach
level 1x asap.

With We Rule coins to spare, build as many tailor shops as possible. Squeeze EVERYTHING as close as humanly possible onto your kingdom. Tailor sweatshops are one of the earlier strategies exploited by players to gain exp/gold fast and still works now. They pay for themselves in around 2 days, occupies very little physical space in your kingdom thus making them choice shops to build. DO NOT accept any orders on these shops. To get maximum benefits with practicality in mind, it makes sense to order from shops that have higher TTH, and use your own We Rule tailor shops for farming (a term used by gamers, where one gets income from objects in the game which serve no other purpose, another term would be grinding, though grinding usually involves monster killing, not applicable to the game here) purposes. Build until your entire kingdom is filled with these tailor shops. Do not purchase any upgrades before your ENTIRE kingdom is carpeted with tailor shops. You should really change to planting onions or higher TTH crops now.

We Rule Mid Game
At level 1x, you would have known all the concepts of We Rule, have in mind whom are your stable trading partners and so forth. Now it is the time to capitalized on it. Repeat what you did for “early game” strategy. Yes, repeat it. The only thing you should ever buy is land upgrade, which increase your We Rule land by 30%, allowing more tailor shops to be build. Any extra gold is to be kept for later use. Start planting onions if you are working, or choose whatever is suitable for your lifestyle. A key milestone for strategy change and to get your life back is at level 17, where the crop magic cauliflower is available. This We Rule crop has a good ratio for their practical TTH and i often choose this over shorter TTH crops for practical reasons.

We Rule End game
At level 20, it is a milestone and a checkpoint. Your We Rule strategy change drastically from here. By now, your grades in school would have dropped a notch, lost a few friends and having nerd slapped all over your face while spotting a beard with the style adopted in early/mid game. For now things are going to be slowed considerably, for your health and practical reasons. You cannot afford to login every hour anymore, it just got so boring. If you are not bored, you are on your own from here, i did, thus the strategy for me to share is with the players with lessen interest and even lesser time to invest in the game. First off, Buy around 30 dragon lairs, which means you need to sell your tailor shops BIT BY BIT. Spread your name in forums for others to start noticing you. Do not place orders anymore with anyone, unless your 35 dragon lairs are virtually empty and devoid of orders, of which you should start ordering with dragon lairs or archery range shops at other kingdoms. Always leave around 10 of your dragon lairs free for others to place their orders with you. Start a reputation of being a kingdom for others to visit instead of ignore. Dragon lairs are chosen for their smaller physical size, longer TTH compared to archery range but they cost gold, not mojo to build. Also they cost 2 days to process, which suits the cauliflower strategy adopted above, every 4 crop harvest = your dragon order is fulfilled and ready to deliver. Ultimately, your We Rule game should make you place as many archery range orders with others you can find, while leaving your dragon lairs open in case you 30 ranges to place orders in. Construct no MORE than 30 dragon lairs.
With whatever remaining gold, slowly replace your tailor sweatshops with ruby grove. These are available at level 23, takes around 25 days to pay for themselves and are better than most shops (yes, including your lairs).

By now, you should be leveling at a snail pace, perhaps once every 4 days or so, the ruby grooves help out. Do not replace your lairs with the grooves, you would need to maintain a reputation of a player who delivers on time, not a solo farmer whom engage in only casual play, in view of further expansions which might change the balance between the various forms of income.

We Rule Known Bugs

There are several known bugs/issues regarding We Rule.

1) We Rule Screen comes up as loading, usually accompanied by no background music playing, yet it never goes beyond towards loading the kingdom view

Solution : Restart application.

2) Screen loads but as music plays the kingdom view is not being loaded.
Solution : Wait for 20 seconds, if Plus+ is loaded via the message “Welcome back”, its a good sign it will be loaded eventually.

3) We Rule Game Disconnected
We Rule loads all aspects of every kingdom visited into the phone memory, without unloading them once you exit any kingdoms you visit, proven by visiting a kingdom visited in the SAME session, the load is immediate. However this will run the phone out of memory once you reached page 4-5 of your friend list, with every kingdom visited on each page.
Solution : Restart app and scroll to whichever page immediately to where you left off.

4) We Rule Connection Lost message
Usually reserved for REAL connection lost issues, however has been bugging the game for past few version. We Rule continues to be working however every action that results in gaining coins/exp will result in a pop up “Connection lost” message which can be closed by tapping ok. You are not really disconnected, proven by visiting another realm within your own kingdom and going back to the main kingdom.
You would have noticed harvested crops/grooves are no longer able to be harvested. We Rule Coin and exp are updated.
Solution : Remember which object you have harvested and do not harvest them again as there won’t be duplicated coins/exp given. Or simply restart app, but there is no guarantee you can get connected again, especially during heavy load periods.

5) We Rule refuse to startup. All other apps fail to connect again.
Sometimes We rule will refuse to work. Strangely all other apps that require an internet connection will fail to work too. Proven by attempting to use the app store or safari, which shows there is no 3G connection though there is.
Solution : Soft reset of the phone will get it back up again.

6) Plus+ requires you to relogin and claims your password is wrong.
Solution : Do not attempt to change your password. Its just a loading issue. Restart your We Rule app and it should connect normally. In case it doesn’t the password was NEVER resetted. Just enter the correct one until it registers.

Updates to Version 1.1 of We Rule

The We Rule new updates

There are new realms available for version 1.1 of We Rule. You can get an additional piece of land free and pay 150000 coins for every other piece of land for a maximum of 4 “expansions” to your kingdom. I have witness most players are using it for ruby grooves farmhouses or simply buying them and leaving it empty. My advice is do something useful for your money, if you have insider news that there are better stuff that will come out in the near future, save your coins. Else make your We Rule coins work for you, no point letting them sit in your account whereas others are harvesting a few thousands in a day from ruby grooves. Do note buildings in the main realm are not transferable to these expansions and vice versa. These new realms are mainly for theme purpose, where you could beautify your We Rule kingdom to have different “Sectors” like magical sector in the north, Military sector in the south etc.

I was really excited this morning to see that We Rule Level cap was raised! Yes now it goes up to level 35, except it does not me any good since I am already sitting at level 35. I got 2 extra farms but no castle upgrade.

We Rule New Businesses

With this update, We Rule introduces 2 new businesses. The first one is a Coach Inn available at level 16, giving 975 xp when you build it and takes 24hrs or 2 mojo to build. The Coach Inn will cost you 12 mojo or 23 500c.

The next We Rule business is the Red Dragon’s Lair which will take 3 days to build or 15 mojo to have it instantly. This one is a bit more costly at 50 mojo or 300 000c. That one going to be another long term investment I’m sure.

We Rule New Crops

We also have 5 new crops which is self explanatory in the picture below.

We Rule Mojo

“If you jumped multiple levels with this update you will get the Mojo due within 24 hours,” a statement from the company reads.

Personal Thoughts About We Rule

At this point I would say the Magic Cauliflower is still the way to go but that also depends on what is available to you at the level you are at. And it also depends on the amount of coins as if you look at the Sunflowers, you will need 2000c per crop.

My opinion about the new crops, Blackberries and the Dragon Fruit would be the way to go in the short term depending on if you are after coins or xp. If you need xp, go for the balckberries. If you need coins go for the Honeydew and Dragon Fruit.

Give me a bit of time to update the We Rule tips page. Also, if you need friends, check out the We Rule Friends page. And we also have the We Rule walkthrough if you are new or just want to check it out.

As usual, all your comments and feedback are always welcome. See you on We Rule!

Ngmoco has released the followup to its popular We Rule game on the Canadian App Store. We Farm is, as you can see below, very similar to We Rule, with the main difference being that the game is set on a farm rather than in a medieval fantasy world. You’ll be able to raise animals, plant vegetables, build up a barnyard, and of course, trade and share with friends to earn experience. We Rule originally launched in Canada back in February (Ngmoco likes to use America’s neighbors to the north as a testing ground before releasing their apps worldwide), and then We Rule was released to everyone in March, so we can probably expect the same time frame for We Farm.

We Rule vs We Farm

Will We Farm be as big a hit as We Rule was? It’s hard to tell; the gameplay is certainly proven already, but one of the draws of We Rule was that it wasn’t just a FarmVille clone, and obviously, this seems to be borrowing at least the setting from Zynga’s popular title. Of course, another reason that We Rule was so popular was because it had the iPhone all to itself, and now FarmVille is up and running.

We’ll see, though. Ngmoco has certainly shown that it’s constantly learning about how to find success on the App Store; I’m sure the company has taken lessons from We Rule and GodFinger, not to mention that their development method allows for plenty of quick updates and changes if things don’t work out right away. It’s been fascinating to watch Ngmoco’s experiment, and We Farm (along with We City, another adaptation planned for release soon) is their next step.

Personally, I am looking forward to We Farm just because I have been sitting in We Rule at level 30 for quite a while so it is a bit boring for me but the only way I can keep up with the updates. And We City will be a change of environment from We Rule. If you are happy with We Rule gameplay, I don’t see why you would not be happy with We Farm or We City.

Since there are so many We Rule Latest Updates in between the we Rule sales and the businesses additions, I decided to move them from the We Rule Tips guide and have a separate post.

Just in case you still have not heard of We Rule, it is a free app game only available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and is not available for PC unlike FarmVille which comes through FaceBook. Much like FarmVille, We Rule has scored lots of pluses especially on the social front and It’s quite addictive – to make any real progress you have to check on your kingdom often.

Click here for We Rule Tips, here for We Rule Walkthrough and here for We Rule Friends Invites

We Rule Tips: Farming

Farming on We Rule is one of the best ways to make yourself some cash. Just by buying farms for 250 coins, you can plant a wide variety of crops which you’ll eventually harvest and sell. The number of farms increases as you go up the levels, but note that you don’t necessarily unlock a farm each time you go up a level. Depending on the level you’re at, you can plant different crops – each level presents you with a new variety of crops to plant.

Everything happens in real time; each crop you plant will take a certain time to get ready for harvesting, but then you can use Mojo to speed this up. To know they’re ready for harvest, you’ll see an icon above your farm – just tap it and collect the coins and experience. It’s just like real life though – if you don’t harvest on time, then the crops go bad and that means no coins and no experience for you. We Rule Tips: Just as a rough measure, it takes the same time for a crop to spoil as it took to grow.

Have a look below to see timings of different crops for one farm:
Corn and wheat have the highest profits, but can be a headache because you have to harvest them really often. Peas and rice, on the other hand, are good earners as you don’t have to come back to check too often although they’ll still give you high profits per hour once you harvest.

Other We Rule tips: before you plant, think about how often you can log in to access your farm. If you are going to be gone for a while, it’s better to plant a long term crop. If you are sitting at your computer all day, you can plant short term crops.

Farming is a great way to earn both coins and experience (xp) at whatever level. Just remember that you must always pick on time so that you can have highest possible profits.

We Rule Tips: Business

Another excellent way to earn coins and xp on We Rule is business. The more businesses you build, the more the rewards. There are 2 main ways to build a good business on We Rule:

•	By Placing Orders in other We Rule kingdoms

To do this, you need to first add friends on the Plus+ network! Check here often to find gamer names of active players and you can add your gamer name too. Each time you add a player, their kingdom will appear once you launch We Rule. If they should have a business that’s open, you’ll see the open sign, and you can go in and tap on it to place an order. A kingdom without an open sign means either that the player has no business or all their businesses have been taken over by others. You can always check back at another time.

It costs nothing to place your order, and if it gets delivered, you receive both coins and xp. If it’s not delivered though, and gets rejected, you get nothing.

Once you place an order on a business in any kingdom, the open sign disappears. You are limited to one order per kingdom, and you can only place up to 35 transactions. The 35 transactions include orders that you will receive and those that you will place, so make sure to strike a balance.

•	By receiving orders from other We Rule kingdoms

It can be quite pricey to build your business especially at the higher end, but you can earn more through delivering orders than by placing them. You will need friends for this too, who can see your kingdom and the businesses within it. If a friend places an order at any one of your businesses, you’ll see their profile picture and the option to either accept or decline. Clicking accept starts the order processing and once its complete all you have to do is deliver. This earns you good money and xp too (Remember you can use Mojo to speed things up a little though from personal experience I would try to keep as many Mojo as possible).

Have a look at the table below and see which businesses to build and which ones where you can place your orders.
As you can see, the more expensive the business, the more coins and experience the players have. The owner will typically earn more than the person placing the order, so aim to sell more than to buy. If you’re wondering about profits, middle value businesses give the highest profits to the owner.

It does not really matter to the one placing an order how long it takes for it to be delivered – it may take a while for the other person to see your order and accept.

Notch up your business because its one of the fastest ways to earn both coins and xp on We Rule. It costs you nothing to place an order and earns you lots to deliver one. Do both and as many times as you can so long as you are still within transaction limit. You’ll have to keep a manual count though – there’s no automatic counter.

We Rule Tips: Mojo

Mojo is a magic liquid which is used to help you get richer and travel up the levels faster in We Rule. The things which help you earn both coins and xp, such as growing crops and completing orders will move much faster if you use Mojo. To get it, you need to buy it in the game – with real money though. There are however special offers that are given to users every once in a while for using Mojo: if you download sponsored applications, and you will get 3-10 on leveling up.

We Rule Tips: Leveling Up

In We Rule, there are currently 30 levels, and you unlock them as your xp increases. Each time you level, you’ll be receiving a given amount of Mojo and you may also unlock different crops and businesses, as well as flags, plants and houses. You’ll also be able to increase the number of farms, but not necessarily each time you go up a level. You gain lots of xp as you go higher in the levels, and it opens opportunities for you to earn lots more.

You will get to upgrade your castle which unlocks land size too, so that you can give your kingdom a remodel on reaching a new level. You cant skip any upgrade though – you have to go through each and every upgrade before you can get to the next.

We Rule Tips: Decor Items

Cottages are good too when you start up but are time intensive so you may not want to focus on them so much; you can buy one for 100 coins and collect taxes of 4 coins every 4 hours, each time gaining 2 xp.

With each decor item (except for Golden Roads) you earn 10% experience of the total construction cost. Golden Roads will earn you 100 experience and they cost 250 coins to construct – an excellent way to gain experience and level up. So build them while you can as Ngmoco might change that at anytime like they’ve done with the Grove trees.

Grove trees are by far the way to earn coins and xp. They have an advantage over regular farms – the crop doesn’t spoil if it’s not harvested within a certain time. Of course you’ll spend more to acquire a Grove tree, but it’s worthwhile because of the coins and xp gained per hour.

We Rule New Realms Have Arrived!

We Rule New Realms have now been added to We Rule Version 1.1 to enable you to add on new plots of land separate to your main kingdom. You can now spend just a little and add to your wealth – add land to each side of your kingdom simply by tapping the arrow on the side you want to add to.

Check out the 4 different We Rule new realms that you can purchase:

Realm

Level Unlocked

Cost

South Realm

15

Free

West Realm

20

150000

East Realm

25

150000

North Realm

30

150000

You can start off by buying a small realm and then upgrading as you go along. To upgrade the size of your new realm, just enter the new realm that you wish to upgrade to and click on the Upgrades tab in the shop screen. Your other realms won’t be affected by any upgrades you make – they will remain as they were before.

Upgrade Level

Cost

Realm Increase

1

3 000 coins

30%

2

15 000 coins

30%

3

30 000 coins

30%

4

50 000 coins

30%

Once you purchase a new realm, an arrow will appear on whichever side of your kingdom that you have added to allowing both you and visitors to enter the new realm. If there are any businesses that are operational and open, an open sign will appear to point it out to visitors.

There are also flags on the social map outside kingdoms that have added on realms. Each realm you add will earn you a new flag.

We Rule New Realms Downside

Only one thing to look out for though: you cannot transfer objects from your main kingdom to new realms. So for people like me stuck at level 30, it is a bit pointless. I was really looking forward to this update as I thought I was going to be able to make a veggie garden in one realm, build the village in another… I can buy new trees and the cottages are cheap but I still think no being able to transfer is a big disappointment.

Another We Rule Tips Update

As we like to know all the We Rule Tips we asked a top commentator on Jag’s iPhone site to tell us his thoughts about the latest updates on We Rule and here is what he has to say:

“You may wonder “Who the heck is this Player?” And, why should you bother to read this?…

I am Technerdogist. I’ve ground my way into the top 500 in We Rule XP (eXPerience points) Leaderboard, despite the developers blunders. I’ve wasted tons of time and coin gathering stats (so you don’t have to) and I consider the Human Factor of the game (yes people sleep and do other stuff). Take comfort that you are not alone in your frustration with the game.

Here’s how I see the latest update.

Another update and another disappointment…

Warning!: To any Experienced Gamer it is painfully obvious that this program is being maintained by different people than those that designed it!

Original developers made a game that – although buggy – was totally Free for everyone. When players were inconvenienced by infrequent downtime, players were given a few Mojo to compensate them for their patience (nice touch, made you sort of feel like recommending the game). The game was designed to allow players to quickly advance and unlock more objects. Players felt like they could “catch up” their kingdom development and keep the game interesting and fun.

With this “New” version, Players connect after frequent downtime, only to discover the objects that they have chosen for xp or coin purposes have been hobbled by developers (a desperate attempt to slow Players down?)! Costs have gone up, build times have risen dramatically, payouts have decreased and fill times are getting ridiculously long – specifically on the more popular objects that Friends typically order from. Now more and more objects are being added that can only be purchased with “Mojo” (= pay real cash for artificial currency, and oh just ignore the fact that the developers have just screwed your last couple weeks of effort). Embedded Ads, loosely disguised, promising free coins waste players time for a petty amount of coin. (Wow! the new developers want you to pay for this kind of treatment???). Still the remnants of the original game keep you playing in hopes that some day they’ll get back to the spirit of the Initial Game. (sigh!)

Anyway… Risking that the developers will butcher the following objects, here are a few we rule tips that remain viable with this version:

1) If you are a New We Ruler, (to twist a quote from The Matrix, “Guns! Lots of Guns!) Houses, lots of Houses! These are by far (if the developers leave them alone) the Best Purchase for your Coins (when you still have lots of land and not much coin). Pack them tight and collect taxes every 4 hours. And to repeat a previous post from Jag, “Don’t bother using Mojo” just be patient. This is not a 2-day of playtime game, think in terms of Weeks and Months!

2) If you are Advanced enough in the game “Ruby Groves” are your Guns! (despite the latest butchering)

3) If you haven’t figured it out yet… you are only allowed 35 orders, including placed and accepted. So don’t wonder why nobody orders from you if you use all “35″ placing orders with friends. Keep track of how many orders you have at your friends, (15-20) keeps your friends ordering from you! Some greedy players don’t get the “Social” part of this “Socially Based” game and only take orders (cause that pays a bit more).

Thank you for the We Rule Tips… And he is right for the most part and yes the constant changes on We Rule can be quite frustrating. While I totally disagree with the fact some of the new shops can only be bought with Mojos, I still think the main reason behind it is to slow down players so that levels will last longer.

See, for someone who will start the game just now, it does not matter that ngmoco changed the amount of coins or xp earned on a tree because new players don’t know any better, they will think it is just how the game is played and that’s that.

But for us, the “advanced” players it is a bit frustrating because we know what is going on… But we are also stuck at level 30 hoping for new levels to satisfy our playtime!

Magic Asparagus & Magic Cauliflower crops are back. But I noticed the Magic Cauliflower earns you less now: only 2000c instead of 3000 and 350xp instead of 500xp so I would assume the Magic Asparagus would have headed the same way. Does that also mean there won’t be new levels as indicated with the last update?

You can now also earn free coins by visiting the “bank” which means clicking some ads.

And lastly, some new Realms are coming up…
