We Thoughts: the Ngmoco trilogy with We Rule, We Farm & We City

Yes I am still playing We Rule, We Farm and We City. Actually I could even add Godfinger to the lot since it no longer crashes on me…

I have been meaning to write this post ages ago but got a bit busy and too many updates too often, not that I am complaining, I love Ngmoco updates, well most of the time anyway. Ngmoco seems to be keeping players on their toes with the constant updates and by trying to bring out something new from time to time… Though I have also noticed some of the long time players who have finally gave up.

We Rule Quests formerly known as just We Rule

We Rule Quests fixed a few issues I had with the app so for that I am happy. As for the quests, well I am not really fond of them. When I first read about We Rule Quests, I thought it might be fun but it is so hard to find someone that has the required business and then that will actually deliver that I can’t really bother. I completed one so far ” Rock Paper Scissors” Quest after many failed order which unlocked a useless King’s Royal Throne. I am now waiting on the “Grave Robbing” Quest. If you are looking for a cemetery I have two, one in my main kingdom and one in my realm. But overall I don’t really see the point of those quests.

Levels 41 to 45 have been added to We Rule and the Exalted Palace unlocks at level 45 for 975000 c and 0% land upgrade. I just don’t understand why we have to pay so much a for a castle upgrade that brings out nothing to the game. Besides with the very high cost of some of the new buildings, I just don’t get why also have to spend so much in something that is useless.

Now on top of buying Mojo, Gro or Zap, Ngmoco decided to add buildings which cost actual money $.99 each, the Light Castle and the Dark Castle. And while looking for buildings for a quest I have noticed quite a few castles around so players obviously don’t mind having to pay for those.

We Farm

I like this new theme with the Train Station, but Ngmoco, please, do I have to beg for a land upgrade? I love all those new buildings but I am just running out of space and honestly those Farm only upgrade are just a waste. I am not very fond of the We Rule Realm jut because it is a pain to get to them, the loading takes too long and most of the time it crashes.

We Farm Safari is coming out soon and it is quite exciting – More Land: Regions! The one thing I see as an issue though is the fact we cannot transfer items from one region to another.

Regions will allow players to unlock four new unique plots of land. Claim a piece of the Outback, Seregeti, Savana and even a Game Preserve to expand our farm like never before. There’s plenty of room to go around on Safari!

We City

We City is OK but as for We Farm, 10 levels with no land upgrades, that’s a bit ridiculous! There has been quite a few good additions for earning good xp but as it is never a certainty with Ngmoco, so I will not elaborate. Earning coins and xp seems to still be such a slow process. We City also crashed more than the others Ngmoco games, but that might just be me.

You can now expand your city with four new neighborhoods like the Realms on We Rule: South: Level 15, Free – West: Level 20, 35,000 – East: Level 25, 50,000 – Uptown: Level 30, 100,000 but I am not at a point where I have enough coins to expand except by getting the free one where I will start adding any new business there from now on.
