Should I get a PS3, XBOX 360, Wii, PSP? ((HELP))?
I have a playstation 2, but I want to upgrade. Im actually fairly new to the gaming consoles, so Im not sure which I should go with. Im fond of Playstation, but Ive done a little research and it seems the people who own a PS3 are having issues with it after a certain amount of time. Ive never played an Xbox and my little sister has a Wii that Ive only played once.
I need help choosing between the three. Pro’s and Con’s for the different systems would be very helpful, and any personal experiences I would also appreciate. I want a system that will last me a while… one that’s going to give me the least amount of problems, and one that has a decent selection of games.
Im into playing games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Bioshock, and Dead Space if that has any determination in which I should get.
Please, be serious. I honestly need opinions that are worth reading
And anyone who owns a PSP, please give your opinion on that as well, I might even look into buying one of those, though the selection for my taste in games is slim. Thanks ![]()
While the online gaming is a possibility for me, I’ll only download games if it seems good, and I wont be gaming with other people online.

C.I.P I disagree with a lot of your opinions such as
Xbox has more game. It actually doesn’t ps3 has about 42 more games.
Xbox has better graphics. False because it is proven that ps3s is better I’ve tested it even I have a xbox and ps3
Also xbox=33% failure
Ps3=1%
Another thing is ps3 is free online

Although ps3 is more money its worth it it’ll pay it self off in a few years cuz online is free.
Don’t forget, xboxs controllers are uncomfortable and your gunna go through A LOT of AA batteries with the xbox.
Last thing. Ps3 came out one year later then xbox and why do you think xbox keeps coming out with newer models? Because they are trying to catch up the the origanal ps3 or else think about it they would have stopped making new models. Sonys kicking dirt in there face by not making new models LOL

Playstation Network might be free but it is not as good as Xbox live. We might pay the price for Xbox live though they offer run really good promo but it is very well worth the money. As for the graphics yes Ps3 is better but it is not noticeable especially if you don’t have a very high tech TV. I think both the ps3 and the xbox are worth to own so to have both is best just for their exclusive games. But if it is to play mostly online multiplayer games then xbox is better than ps3.
As for failure, my son has an xbox that is on nearly 24/7 and we’ve never had a problem with it. And we bought the new xbox and it is great.
Battery life, you can use the rechargeable ones. I used to only play the ps3 until I met my boyfriend who converted me to xbox. At first, the control felt strange but you get use to it, not a big worry really and certainly not a good reason to dismiss the xbox in my opinion.

PS3: Pros-> 1. it has free online play so if you wanted to play online your able to play for free. 2. Its graphics are way better than wii. 3. Their games are really fun then again most games on the ps3 are on the 360. 4. Wireless internet
Cons->1. It doesn’t have as good graphics as the 360. 2. It doesn’t bring a bluetooth or headset, so if you want to talk while playing you have to buy it apart from the system.
Xbox 360 Pros-> 1. Has the best Graphics. 2. Has more games to choose from. 3. Has better bundles (ex. buy a system get 2 games for free with it)
Cons-> 1. If you want to play online you have to pay a certain amount per month in order to play. 2. It does not have wireless internet and in order to have internet you have to either buy a long cable or buy a wireless adapter (which is $100 extra)
Wii Pros-> 1. Has Many games to choose from. 2. Family based and maybe a few exicting depending on what kind of gamer you are. 3. the unique way of playing is very interesting. 4. Wireless internet
Cons-> 1. Worst graphics of the three (but play able) 2. If your a serious gamer some games may not be as exciting for you.
PSP Pros-> 1. You can basicaly do everything on the PS3 but portable. 2. Wireless internet
Cons-> 1. Its just not the same as playing the PS3 its self Its wired you know (but thats just me)
Also the thing about how systems have problems is true but if you take care of the system then it should be fine. Plus just buy insurence when you buy the system so just in case something does go wrong you have it as a back up plan.

Well, your game choices don’t really matter seeing as that three of the four are on PS3 and 360. The Xbox 360 has a 33% failure rate, which weather Xbox fans accept or deny, is true! The PS3 has about a 1% failure rate (you can look it up if you don’t believe me). I’ve NEVER had a lick of trouble out of my PS3, but I’ve had the Red Ring of Death on my 360 and my 360 is in it’s own area that is clean and clear. My PS3 shares an area with the Wii and cable box and it doesn’t get too hot or anything. I don’t really play my Wii all that much because no good games have come out. If you wanna play Bioshock and Dead Space and stuff like that, you need a PS3 or an Xbox 360. Another deciding factor is, do you want to play online or not and does it really matter? On the Xbox, it’s $50 per year for one gamertag and on PS3 it’s all free. Personally, I find my experience online to be much more pleasant on my PS3 because you don’t hear the stupid whiny little children ranting and raving because you kill them in a match in Call of Duty or anything! If you have an HDTV and like to watch a good amount of movies, go with the PS3 seeing as it is a Blu-Ray player. I have my PS3 hooked up to a 61″ HDTV with HDMI and it’s AMAZING! My 360 is nice too, but the PS3 just blows it out of the water! I’ve had my 360 since the day it came out because I was a hard-core, Sony/Playstation bashing 360 fan-boy. Only game I played on PS2 was Kingdom Hearts, because I love it. So, once it crapped out, my mom bought me a PS3 because she knows I love gaming. Once I got it, I instantly fell in love with it. It does take some time to get used to how it works, but it’s worth it!
