Adventure Bay Loot Collections Guide

Unlike We Rule, We Farm and We City, ngmoco gives us the Adventure Bay Loot Collections which is a different way to earn coins, xp, decorations… So depending what you are aiming for, it can affect your gameplay strategies in Adventure Bay.
All the items you need to complete one of the Adventure Bay Loot Collections can be found by planting crops, completing quests and doing business on your island and on your friends’ island. And it is worth planning as some of the items like the Waterfall, you can only get if you have 20x spice or you can get it free from one of the Adventure Bay Loot Collections.
With the Adventure Bay Loot Collections, you can also get up to 7500xp and 10,000 Gold, so… not bad!
Adventure Bay Loot Collections

Adventure Bay Loot Collections Pirate’s Chest
Fruit basket: Alligator’s quests.
Tropical Nuts: Parrot’s quests.
Salted Peanuts: Harvest Peanuts Crops
The Crop Boost will speed up one crop by 2h. Seed bags: Randomly given when harvesting crops or at the Pet Bazaar. Plant food & Farm Tools: Randomly given when harvesting crops.
Note: The Crop Boost can be used to speed up quests.

For example, look into your adventure bay loot collection. If you wanted to collect the 100xp, you would need to plant 10x Sugar Cane, complete 2 quest with the Hula Dancer to get the Floral Lei and collect 3x Fruit Popsicle from the fruit stand by either collecting them from your own island or from your friends’ island.

Some of the Adventure Bay Loot Collections will require the same object as other. For instance here to get the Admiral’s Chest you will need 5x Frosty Mugs that you can get at the Tavern but you will also need 1x Frosty Mug to get the 500 Gold.

Bouquet is from the Florist.
Perfume Bottle is from harvesting Jasmine, but I got those 2 in the Witch Doctor treasure hunts. Others have reported you can get them in the Bomber quests and as rewards from the chests.

Adventure Bay Loot Collections: How to get the Hand Torch?
The Hand Torch is from the Tua’s quest (after unlocking the Volcano). Once you complete the quest, it is a 10mn quest that you can do over and over to get as many Hand Torch as you need.

The Decoder Ring is from the Museum.

Free Totem:
Free Bonfire: You can get the Hand Torch by completing Tua’s quest. He is the character that comes with the Volcano (unlocks at level 24). The Eternal Flame is from the Bonfire. So far I have not seen too many around, probably because they cost 20x Spice.
Gem Stones are found on Adventure Bay Quests by defeating an enemy and with the mineshafts.

Coconut: Got one with one Lady Luck’s quest… Tree Frogs: by planting a Sacred Jungle. Pickaxe is from quests.

Poker chip is given out randomly with the Casino. You might get one while building or when other players are ordering from you but so far, it only gave me one. Crystal pendant is from quests. Decoder ring is from the Museum.

The saxophone and Trumpet are from the Jazz Hall available at level 35.

The cutlass is from the Cutlass shop or by completing the Swordmaker quest.

The Bait worm is from the bait shop but very rare.

The Hunk Of Meat is from the Komodo Cavern available at level 19.
If you need more info check out the Adventure Bay Walkthrough from Gamezebo and for buildings coins & xp earned, check out the table here.

Well I finally got a trumpet after 91 saxophones. Not a single bait worm. Still no use for or storage of lighthouse lamps or crab claws. Stuck now at level 35 and getting disillusioned waiting for new levels. More people are failing to deliver as they walk away.

I have failed a few deliveries lately, not because I wanted too but because all my games constantly crash when trying to login.
But I cant blame people for giving up on Adventure Bay really. Ngmoco constantly updates We Rule, We Farm and We City and we only get a few lame updates on Adventure Bay. How much longer do we have to wait to get new island and to be able to return objects to the inventory?
I got more casino chips through the crops than the Casino… but now I rarely get the Crystal Pendant… Only one bait worm so far and only one trumpet as well.

You get a trumpet after you receive 15 saxophones and you deliver a saxophone frome your jazz hall.
To add to Icarus’s list, Tiny will beat a boulder in 1 move. Thr fire juggler will beat any palm tree in 1 move
Has anyone gotten bait worm?
How do some people put buildings almost on top of each other?

@Photons – I know a few of them, Cap’n Bill’s power is “getting in over his head” which I have found no use for, or it does nothing for him. But I’ve noticed that he always has many enemies on his board. The Voodoo Priestess’ power is to kill skeletons in 1 move, I’ve also found she gets 2 treasures from chests almost every time she does her final quest. The Parrot’s power is to see 2 spaces away from where he stands. The Hula Girls power is to have 3 extra moves. Captain Keel’s power is to kill certain human enemies with 1 move, the ones I know are the short fat man pointing a handgun upward, and the crouching pirate with a sword (I think). The Tiki-Shaman kills enemies in 2 hits instead of 3. The Baker gains 3 extra moves instead of 1 when getting a cupcake.
Hope that helps.

Wow, I have never noticed all of that! Thanks for the info @Icarus.

I still don’t see the point of the claws at the crab shack or the lighthouse lanterns. You can earn them but you don’t see them in loot collections. I have rec’d 47 saxophones and, though the screen may say trumpet, I’ve yet to receive one in my loot. Plenty of crashes, though so maybe it crashes before it can store it. Still love the game but hate the crashes.

I only got one trumpet so far, I think this one is like the casino where you are supposed to get Chips but only received 3 since the day they came out. I got more chips from the clover crop. I am not sure about the claws or the lighthouse lantern either but am sure Ngmoco will eventually put it to good use in one of future Loot collections updates… hopefully… though we are still waiting on a way to get coconuts too… But I wish they would just update Adventure Bay with new islands like the realms on all the we series. Adventure Bay is stalling way too much.
I hate when it crashes when I am just about to collect my 2 saxophones after waiting for so long…

Does anyone know what the strengths of each character is when exploring? I only know the barman breaks rocks, and the bomber hits all adjacent squares when he attacks. Help appreciated!

No clue and to tell you the truth I don’t think I ever bothered looking at it. But why do you want to know? Is there a point of knowing this?

I’m guessing you get rain slickers from the rubber crop? Can anyone confirm this? And the bonfire collection is pointless because you have to buy one to get a free one? They should fix that. They also need a confirm button for spending spice I’ve wasted too many with mis clicks and slow loading. They also should make sacred jungle “shop-able” like everything else so you can get tree frogs without spending 1.5k to get each one and of course fix the crashing that ruins the exploring, because it also ruins all your crops if your process them and don’t pick up their loot before it crashes. Mysterious hatch also gives skeleton keys on rare occasions, and the wrecked ship will give all three types of maps with ornate and ancient being rarer. Finally if your on a slower connection and are fast enough with your clicks you can shop two buildings on someone’s island if you accept them one after the other almost instantly, you can also send the same character out to explore on all two or three ships if you press ok after choosing your character on the first ship and choose the same character and press ok on the second and third ship before the first ship leaves harbor/load bar finishes (gets to 100%)

Yes, you get the rain slickers from the rubber crops or the from the submarines.
The bonfire is not pointless and no you don’t have to buy one. You can get the flame once you complete the fire juggler quest that comes with the volcano unless you see a bonfire on an island. It was actually hard for the players who started from the beginning as there was not that many bonfires available. I remember having to visit so many islands to find one until I finally unlock the quest which is a 10-minute quest and the shortest of them all.
Ngmoco does not need to make the sacred jungle shop-able but just to come up with a new crop or business like they have done so far with most of everything else. But I still reckon they should come up with rewards that could only be obtained through the loot instead of having to buy with coins/spice to make more interesting/challenging.
I have played all Ngmoco since the beginning and I think there will always be crashes though they are not as bad as they used to. But sometimes I can’t even login so my apologies for non delivered orders…
I often try to get two orders but only once I have seen my picture show up twice, so not really sure if it works for me. But I have some regular shoppers that do it all the time on my island. Please bear in mind that even though you can place two orders in one island, you can only still have 35 orders total.
I had no idea with the ships but thanks for the tips.

This is maddening! I wait hours for a search, have friends help and then crash on the first step of the search!!! I lose everything!
07 Feb 2011, 3:40 am
I know, we all have the same problem though I thought it was crashing a little bit less lately. It is really annoying.

I’ve gotten to the last level of Adventure Bay and can not find a way to earn the tree frogs! Help.
06 Feb 2011, 1:12 am
You went through all the Adventure Bay game levels without planting a Sacred Jungle??!! As far as I know, planting a Sacred Jungle is the only way you can get a tree frog.
03 Feb 2011, 11:33 pm
where do you get pistols from? both my girlfriend and i only have 1 and cant get any more.
03 Feb 2011, 11:34 pm
nvm thx. couldnt see comments till now. heroine it is.
26 Jan 2011, 3:31 pm
Do you know how to get the tree frogs and the pistols?
29 Jan 2011, 9:36 am
Everytime you plant a Sacred Jungle you get a Tree Frog, that is the only way so far to get them.
The pistol is from the Heroine’s quest.

You can also get some of the items required for the loot collections by ordering them from your friends’ islands. Each type of building will give you a different item.
